eMobility project in Hungary; it is based on GPS data and implemented through inputs from motorists
''Just in Time Traffic Information'' (Jitti) is the new traffic alert system born in Hungary.
It has been announced by economia.hu (www.economia.hu) and it consists of a community open to all, able to show the traffic of each area of the country in real time. The speeds are measured using GPS data and the status of the road appears on the screens of users via Internet.
The information is provided by the users, acting on the territory of the country. They only have to join the team Jitte with their smartphones equipped with GPS and the information will be automatically loaded and integrated in the system, creating a complete map. The necessary software for smartphones can be downloaded from the site, a very comprehensive platform, in Hungarian and English.
Jitte requires further development, such as search and online booking of parking and the ability to use the map of a certain area, also in offline mode.
''Just in Time Traffic Information'' (Jitti) è il nuovo sistema di alert sul traffico nato in Ungheria.
Si tratta - rende noto ''economia.hu'' (www.economia.hu) - di una community aperta a tutti, capace di mostrare il traffico di ogni singola zona del paese in tempo reale. Le velocità sono misurate usando dati GPS e lo stato della viabilità appare sugli schermi degli utenti, tramite connessione internet.
Le informazioni sono fornite dagli stessi utenti, attivi sul territorio di tutto il Paese. Basta che si uniscano al team Jitti con i loro smartphones dotati di GPS e le informazioni saranno caricate automaticamente ed integrate al sistema, creando una mappa completa. Il software per smartphone necessario è scaricabile direttamente dal sito, una piattaforma molto esaustiva, in ungherese ed inglese.
Jitti prevede ulteriori sviluppi, come la ricerca e prenotazione del parcheggio on line e la possibilità di usufruire della mappa di una certa zona anche in modalità off line.
