Tourism is one of the activities endowed with most significant potential to generate growth and employment in the EU. Moreover, tourism contributes to the develop ment and socioeconomic integration in rural, peripheral or less developed regions.
The European Commission, Enterprise & Industry Directorate General, launched the e-Business W@tch to monitor the growing maturity of electronic business across different sectors of the economy in the enlarged European Union, EEA and Accession countries.
