The EU published more than 50 calls for proposals under the 7th Framework Programme for RD&D, worth a total of EUR 6.4 billion.
Many of these calls address energy issues.
Calls of the FP7 Energy Theme include some 30 topics on renewable energies (PV, CSP, wind energy, bioenergy, solar heating and cooling), CCS, smart electricity networks as well as on energy efficiency. The whole spectrum from fundamental research to applied research and demonstration activities is covered.
