Academic career paths in Australia and the US - a personal perspective

The talk, organized by Lakeside Labs, is about academic career paths at universities in Australia and the US, from being a doctoral student to obtaining a professorship.

On Monday, July 20th 2009, Peter Schreier, currently an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Newcastle (New South Wales - Australia) will discuss on what is good and what is bad, based on his personal experiences and observations in Germany, the US, and Australia.
